Our planet faces interconnected crises, climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource scarcity that defy simple, one-dimensional solutions. Integrated Approaches to Sustainable Resource and Environmental Management argues that a fundamental paradigm shift is essential: moving from fragmented, sectoral responses to integrated approaches that weave together diverse forms of knowledge. This volume brings together leading scholars to explore what integration means in theory and practice. From the complex impacts of invasive species on climate feedbacks to reviving ancient water systems for modern adaptation, from designing just community energy solutions to governing global raw material supply chains, the chapters reveal the interconnected nature of our most pressing challenges. The book demonstrates how modern science, cultural wisdom, historical insight, and participatory governance can and must converge to build resilience. A vital resource for students, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, this book offers a compelling framework and concrete case studies for anyone committed to forging sustainable and equitable pathways in the Anthropocene.
