Xianquan Zhan

Xianquan Zhan received his MD and PhD in Preventive Medicine at West China University of Medical Sciences. He received his postdoctoral training in oncology and cancer proteomics at Central South University, China, and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), USA. He worked at UTHSC and the Cleveland Clinic from 2001 to 2012, achieving the rank of Associate Professor at UTHSC. Currently, he is a Full Professor at Central South University and Shandong First Medical University, and an advisor to MS/PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, Word Academy of Productivity Sciences, and European Association for Predictive Preventive Personalized Medicine (EPMA), a national representative of EPMA, and a member of Sigma Xu The Scientific Research Honor Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS). He is also editor in chief of the International Journal of Chronic Diseases & Therapy, an associate editor of EPMA Journal, Frontiers in Endocrinology, and BMC Medical Genomics, and a guest editor of Mass Spectrometry Reviews, Frontiers in Endocrinology, EPMA Journal, and Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity. He has published more than 190 articles, 30 book chapters, 10 books, and 6 international patents in the field of clinical proteomics and biomarkers.

This book presents the contributions of multiomics and biomolecular modifications to molecular medicine. Research and practice on pattern biomarkers identified through phenome-centered multiomics will drive the development of molecular medicine, including clarification of disease molecular mechanisms, patient stratification, therapeutic target/drug discovery, and personalized medical services, thereby promoting and optimizing the overall management of disease and patients.
