Urologic Cancers - Advances and Challenges in Diagnosis and Molecular Targeted Therapy offers a timely and accessible overview of one of the most rapidly evolving areas in oncology. Bringing together foundational biology and emerging clinical practice, this volume explores how molecular insights are shaping the diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney, and other genitourinary organs. Across seven expert-authored chapters, the book examines aggressive disease subtypes, mechanisms of treatment resistance, and the growing role of precision-based approaches in patient care. Readers are guided through the unique biology of neuroendocrine prostate cancer, the pathways driving castration-resistant disease, and the use of advanced three-dimensional tumor models that are transforming laboratory research and therapeutic testing. The book also highlights evolving treatment strategies for renal and urothelial cancers, including the expanding use of immunotherapy and targeted drug combinations, while addressing broader challenges such as biomarker discovery, liquid biopsy development, and data-driven tools to support clinical decision-making. Designed for students, researchers, and clinicians alike, this volume serves as both a reliable reference and a source of inspiration, offering clarity, context, and direction at the intersection of molecular discovery and patient-centered care in urologic oncology.
