Dr. Aluko Opeyemi Idowu, a distinguished scholar with a PhD in Political Science, specializes in comparative politics, political theory, elections, and urban violence studies. He lectures at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Nigeria, where he serves as Head of the Department of Political Science and the University Assistant Chaplain. He has co-edited several books. With expertise in advanced research design and applied qualitative and quantitative methods, he has published over 120 papers in reputable journals globally and presented at numerous international conferences. He is a Global Citizenship Lead for the Global Citizenship and Children's Rights Network (GLOCCRIN) and an Advanced National Training Officer (ANTO) for the Boys' Brigade Nigeria.
